Thank you for joining us today. It is so exciting having my friend and colleague Stephen Klein with us. Stephen, it’s A pleasure always to have you here, and it’s always exciting to talk about the new gadgets, uh, that you’ve discovered. So Stephen’s background is you had a really catastrophic, life-defying car accident, right? Head-on collision that then led you down a path of figuring out how to heal yourself.
So tell us a little bit about your background and how we got you sitting here today. So, born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina, and In 2002, I was, I was working a job I didn’t even really like covering like all of North Carolina, calling on Western medicine practices for a software that would ultimately lead to what is now electronic medical records. And these are in the days when doctors would laugh at you and go, we’re never getting rid of our paper. You’re crazy. And this was a piece of it.
So, um, so that’s my job. I’m leaving Charlotte one day to go to a town called Hickory, North Carolina. And I never make it there. A guy fell asleep at the wheel. Drove through in a really weird way across the median and hit the barrier there, up the post and 3 cables, broke the post and kind of slingshot under the cables going the wrong way on the interstate into my lane.
So how fast were you going? I mean, I was going full on, I guess. I have no memory of it at all. I’ve had hypnosis to try to remember, whatever, but I was conscious but in shock. So, um, I had collapsed lung, lost 22 units of blood.
After that, including 3 surgeries to follow immediately in the brain, and ended up in the brain injury ward. He died on impact, so I was very fortunate, and I had a really good recovery by Western medicine standards. But there were certain things that just- there was nothing to work on because Western medicine did not have a solution for these things. And I didn’t go looking for all this kind of stuff, but just through, I guess, intention or just having it out there, about 8 years later, 10 years later, I discovered this whole biohacking world. And that’s the word coined by Dave Asprey.
And I actually, through that platform, ended up at what he called at the time the, the, uh, Bulletproof Biohacking Conference in 2015 in Pasadena, California. And I walk- they have a speaker area where people go listen to lectures and experts, and they have an expo area that has all of these toys and biohacks and things for longevity and anti-aging. And when I walked in, in, into that, I was like, wow, this, it was totally sensory overload. I was super excited and I was able to start to piece together things that would help me get my vitality back and, you know, help me with some of the issues that I had. But then I felt like, wow, nobody else knows about this stuff.
So I wanted to help this become available to other people. And so I just started connecting people at a really high level. I didn’t figure out how to monetize any of that stuff at the time, but it led me on the path that I’m on now. And it’s the most fulfilling stuff that I’ve been involved in and helped me, you know, gain my health back at the same time. What did you call it this morning?
That it’s out of the trauma we then find purpose. Yeah, that seems like everybody that I come across that’s either invented one of these devices or had a hand in it had a pain to purpose story. A pain to purpose. Something happened to them, they overcame it, and they wanted to share whatever they experienced with the world also. That’s how I got into becoming a Chinese medical doctor is my back went into spasm and I went to a chiropractor/acupuncturist and it healed me.
I was like, this is the most brilliant medicine on the planet. So yeah, pain into purpose, I fall into that. So I always like to make the connection that Western medicine is really brilliant at acute trauma care, right? They saved your life. And then once you are saved, it’s like, now what?
And now all of this equipment is out there and all of this information, and it seems like everyone, is an expert now. Everybody has something to share and something to say, and it’s really confusing because even though it may have helped them personally, their background is not as being an educated scientist, a licensed physician, and so they’re doing it as, “Well, this helped me, this must help everybody else.” And so I really like working with you because it disseminates this, number one, misinformation, and then we get to customize it. To these individuals who are in our personal lives, in my practice, but then also down at the resort. So a couple of the things that I even have on today are thanks to you. I got introduced to Raw Optics thanks to you, and I’m wearing their daylight ones because we’re under this fluorescent lighting.
We’ve put these in at every single bed stand at the resort for people to use, including the sunset lenses as well, to help downregulate the nervous system. And then we also have a device called the Bubble, which I’ll let you go into in a little bit as well. But what are you your top 5, especially things that you brought to me that we’ve been implementing, and maybe share some of the things out of that that have evolved, um, and some of the cool stuff we’ve done together. Like, we’ve gone to a few conferences together, which has been incredibly fun, um, and then we actually are going to the Dave Asprey conference together in Texas this spring, which I’m so looking forward to also. So this is going to be your big reunion when we go, right?
Well, I’m excited for you to go to that so you can see kind of the real sensory overload it is, because even if you’re a clinician like you, an MD or a holistic practitioner or biohacker, the stuff that’s out there- like that event, when you walk in, you see the expo hall, the expo hall there compared to the one we went to in November, it’s way bigger. Oh wow. And then there was one, there was one in, in this- that’s every December called the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, and they do a smaller one in the spring, but it’s still huge. But the one they do in December this past year had 700+ exhibitors, and they’re going to have like 1,000 at the next one. So you’re going in to see speakers, get your continuing education credits, and you come out and you go in the expo hall and you try to piece something together.
You’re- it’s, it’s, it’s almost laughable. It’s just not a way that you’re gonna- you know, you can go out, experiment, and find some things, but you have no clue whether you’re going to end up with the thing that you were looking for or the best version of that based on your own situation, your dimensions of your space, your budget, what you have going on with you, or what you want to service to your clients. It’s And that’s kind of why I fell into doing what I do as a trusted resource, because there are so many things out there now, and some are marketing hype, some are legit, some are real. What most people don’t understand is, you know, a lot- you hear a lot of people talking, oh, I want to try to live to 120 or 140. There is no evidence on any of the biohacking stuff that’s going to extend and prolong your life like that.
What I look into this space for is to have vitality and, and life and healthspan so that quality in our number of years, right? Wake up one day or what, and I’m able to do everything I do today, I can still do to the day that I die. Yes, I’m hopeful that’ll extend my life, but there’s no evidence around it, at least now. And some of the things that are really going to help with that are probably going to be some of the stuff they do with, with genetic stuff and some things you need to, I don’t know, in longevity, the stem cell exosome stuff. I, I don’t know, but it’s, it’s not likely that you’re going to put together a couple gadgets and use them and you’re going to live a longer at least than you would have, you know, otherwise.
At least for me, I don’t know how you feel. I don’t want to live longer. I want to have a really high quality of life in my number of years. It’s not just quantity, it’s quality within my quantity. And for me and Chinese medicine, we’re all about preventive care.
And so if I can use some of this brilliant now engineering that’s being put out there in conjunction with medical science, this is the best of both worlds. And I’ve seen it in live time, thanks to you. With- we have a friend who just had a stroke. Immediately, within 24 hours of him being in the ICU, we brought in this Cocoon device, right, to help block all of the EMF, the electromagnetic frequency in there. And my assistant office manager who brought it in said within 24 hours of her setting it up in the ICU for him and checking on him the next day, he was a different person within 24 hours of blocking the EMF, thanks to your cocoon.
Um, the other one that has been amazing is the cloud. That’s been incredible, which I can’t wait for you to delve into because he’s now using that as his- now discharge care is laying on the cloud. We brought those down to the resort. But one of the best ones is my dog is with us, and he had some sort of subluxation in his lumbar spine. Not walking, he couldn’t move.
I mean, I literally went to the vet and we were talking about fitting him with a wheelchair or putting him to sleep for We’re talking about quality of his life. And he got chiropractic care. He got, he’s used the Therasage red light therapy. So I wanna go into red light therapy cuz this is probably one of the biggest confusions out there of why one versus a different device for red light therapy. He did cold laser, he got some fascial work done and he is walking and running and up and down stairs jumping.
It’s like nothing happened. Yeah. And there’s no placebo effect. There’s- you’re right, he doesn’t know. And meanwhile, the vet, Western vet, was just going to fill him with drugs, fit him with a wheelchair, and then possibly put him to sleep versus no drugs, no wheelchair, running happy.
And it’s all because of these devices that you’ve introduced me to. So let’s start with red light, because I’m just fascinated about red light therapy. I’ve been using it from Chinese medical standpoint for 20 years, which means Chinese medicine’s been using it a lot longer than that. But now the research is just so much more advanced than when I first started using it. So kind of break down for us, what is red light therapy?
So that, that’s one of the modalities that does have the most research where you can pretty much say red light will help you with vitality and a lot of different things with recovery and whatnot. There’s stuff for skin. So in red light therapy, it’s a really broad topic. When people ask me, oh, which red light therapy should I get? That’s- there’s a huge variance on what the options are, from a few red light therapy beds that’ll go up to $100,000, let’s say, or close to it.
$150,000. I got one sent to me, it’s $150,000. Yeah, the Novathor. Yeah. And then there’s, there’s some- I wouldn’t necessarily recommend that one, but, but there are some that I would recommend if somebody has the means.
Yeah, this would be great, but you have to take into account what is the space that you have for it. Do you need portability at all? And then different things like there are certain mats that are really good, that are a little bit more budget. Then there- do they pulse the light? Are they static?
Because in this industry, a lot of times engineers get a hold of an idea and go, I’m going to make the most powerful version of something. And they don’t come from a medical background, clinical background, or health background. And sometimes more isn’t better. I mean, their body’s responding to a hormesis, a stressor for some of these things to get, you know, take effect of something, get exposed to it, and then we recover. And what it causes in the body to have a stressor and then get better isn’t, you know, more is not always better, especially if it’s not pulsing.
Red light can actually fry your mitochondria. So that’s kind of where, you know, being coming up- we want to make sure it’s a pulsating- pulsing, pulsing, pulsing, pulse red light. And then there’s different frequencies that have been proven to do certain things. You’ll hear different nanometers. I’m not a scientist and I don’t memorize this stuff, but I’m a trusted resource and I know which ones do that and which ones don’t.
And you need to look at having options in frequency, whether you’re looking to treat something for your skin, you’re looking to treat something, you know, lasers come into the light category as well, whether it’s an injury and things like that. So, um, there are companies that make things that are more budgeted for to be more democratized. And there are some companies that make stuff that like, we wanna make the best. And whether it’s for the affluent or whatever, that’s just how it plays out. ‘Cause we’re making the best version.
So explain what the red light does. We talked about the pulsing part. What’s the red light part do? So it’s- there’s a lot of stuff you can do for healing for the mitochondria.
There’s, there’s a ton of stuff you can do for recovery. Now, if somebody had a really, really bad injury, red light may not be the best first exposure because a different color light would be better initially because the red light will have some inflammation come on initially, but then it drops down. And used in combination with stem cell therapy and exosome therapy, red light’s incredibly beneficial. So it’s, it’s one of those, it’s one of the things that’s, is a standard now. If somebody were going to say, hey, I want to get some modalities between PEMF and red light therapy, those make a great match.
And they can also be used at the same time where some others can’t. Right. And you just hooked us up with a bunch of these different mats that are down at the resort now. We’re putting them on each one of the treatment beds in the spa. This offers all those modalities.
Yeah. And then we’ve got the one that bends and it flexes. Like, I could literally wrap it around my little dog’s spine. So it was like directed to his lumbar area and soft and comfortable. Wasn’t uncomfortable for him.
Yeah. And that’s, that’s a less expensive device. It’s also portable. And the inventor, that’s the Therasage Trilight. And the reason why it’s called a Trilight is all these little diodes on red light mats or beds put out a frequency.
The inventor of that one actually created diodes that’ll put out 3 frequencies through the same bulb. Wow. So you have the different nanometers, and I don’t have those memorized, but they’re very, very healing. And like you said, you can contour it. They doesn’t get hot.
Some red light does, some doesn’t. But red light therapy typically is not going to heat up. That’s not the purpose of it. But some beds that are red light beds will. Yeah, I have that, the warming one.
It doesn’t- the TheraPro one has a heating component, but it’s not from the red light on it either. Okay. And then tell me about this, the bubble that got on, because this is from the company Centropix. Yep. And we’re using the cloud mats.
That’s what he laid on and what our friend after his stroke has been laying on as well. What is this bubble I’m wearing around my neck? So you’ll hear a lot about EMF mitigators or EMF blockers, and EMF is electromagnetic fields or electromagnetic frequencies. Native EMFs are good for you. Sunlight is an EMF, but we’re dealing with a lot of EMFs that are non-native now.
From our cell towers, cell phones, cell towers, microwaves that have- probably 10 years ago we had 18 more decimal points of EMFs than we did 50 years ago. At that point, so 60 years- wow, you can’t even say that number. So when people talk about, oh, it’s not going to affect the human body, there are studies now that- well, we’re electromagnetic, right? So obviously, and there’s some study that In every single household, the EMF stands 5 feet off the wall because the amount of wiring that’s put inside of our walls. And so even sitting here, we’re being exposed.
We’re next to a monitor. We have our cell phones out. There’s computers around us. We are bombarded right now. And if you think of us as just electro circuits in ourself, right?
Yeah. So talking about the bubble again, The bubble is not blocking non-native EMFs or mitigating them. What it’s doing is there, there are 4 Schumann frequencies now, which is the Earth’s native EMFs. But since like 2017, they’ve been completely out of whack. Even one might not even show up one day.
So the bubble sinks when an area very close to the North Pole that measures those frequencies daily, and you put the bubble on a cradle And it will sync and optimize either a frequency that’s missing or bolster one that’s low so that you’re walking around with the best. So it’s like adaptogenic for frequencies, for the Earth’s frequency. So you’re walking around with a little bubble of the correct Earth’s frequency because it shifts every day. And what should I feel by wearing this? Some people who are really sensitive will feel it more when you take it away, and some people feel when they put it on.
I personally don’t feel anything myself. Okay. But I know that it’s doing what it’s doing. There’s tremendous research behind the bubble and it’s, it’s one of those things that becomes more and more important as we keep going on because 5G is now already being played with in 10G and 12G experimentation and even stuff with the military. But the tower, that’s all coming.
So even so, you got to look at what there’s the gaining of speed on your computer and your cell phone, all that kind of stuff. Versus what it’s doing to the human body as far as the negative. So yes, we’re getting a benefit with technology, but it’s at the expense of our health, right? And this is why people have insomnia and anxiety and brain fog. It can lead to skin issues, digestive upset, right?
My 8 key points are mood, mental clarity, sleep, skin, digestion, weight, hormones, and pain levels. And these are all negatively impacted by the EMF. And so I love that we can have something like this that we wear. I love that we can lay on grounding mats, like when we sleep, sleep, or when we’re sitting at a computer. That’s the other thing that I’ve been introduced from you are the grounding mats, and we have a grounding mat on every bed down at the resort.
Also, people report how amazing they sleep when they’re down there. That it’s also because we’re walking around barefoot, we’re connected to those electromagnetic frequencies of the earth naturally. That’s a big deal. Yeah. And so when we come back into a place like St.
Pete, Florida, where we’re on cement and wearing our rubber shoes, we’re completely blocked from the Earth’s natural frequencies. Right. What are some of your other favorite devices that you have personally found in your own recovery? I’ll mention something with the, with the PEMF mat that I recommended, the Cloud, because there are a lot of PMF, all PMF mats are not the same. And what’s unique about that cloud is, and that’s what the K-L-O-U-D, K-L-O-U-D, they’re out of Liechtenstein. And most of the really good technology for those things come out of Germany and Liechtenstein now.
And that signal that the cloud creates, the signals that it creates aren’t like off the shelf. The inventor of those is like this OG guy that’s like 87 years old named Dr. Wolf Kafka. And if you look at the history of PEMF, he’s created a superposition, which is one patent folding technology, other, other certain things. But those signals and the programs that they offer will do more for vitality of the body than a typical PEMF, which is- and it’s consumer friendly.
It’s a microcurrent. So it’s not like just disseminate. There’s a high-intensity PEMF technology which is going to- you’re going to feel it. I mean, it’s going to jack you up and you feel the energy. Going through you.
Microcurrents, you usually don’t feel. Some people, like people who will feel a bubble, might feel the microcurrent, but what it’s doing internally to activate molecules- and think about this, if you activate a molecule, which means it’s getting energy, it’s, it’s getting vitality, then everything that happens as far as the benefits of the cloud come downstream of activating the molecules. So you activate the molecules, activates the cells, activates the the, the, the organ systems, etc., the whole body. So we see some really amazing things happen when using the cloud. You might not expect, but it’s not a protocol that you say everybody do this and everybody get the same outcome, right?
It’s going to be different because it’s going to be downstream of activating the molecules. So these are things for people to use every single day, right? It’s recommended to use the cloud twice a day for 15 minutes each session if you can, right when you get up, right when you go to bed, or Whatever serves you best. Okay. Right.
What else have you found that you’ve liked in your own healing after your car accident and you’ve gone down now 10+ years, it’s been over a decade, right? What are you doing on a daily basis? That’s a requirement for you. So I, I have not built this habit fully, but one of the healthiest things you can do is walk outside and look at the sun within 30 minutes of sunrise, because that activates so many different things, your cortisol and melatonin and your 24-hour clock, your circadian rhythm. All of that.
If you happen to walk barefoot while you’re doing it, you get the benefit of the negative ions. I call it farmer’s hours, up with the sun into bed when it’s dark. And for both to go look at the sun at sunrise and then to go look at the sun for sunset, it’s triggering that cortisol release and it’s also triggering, triggering the melatonin release at bedtime so that, yeah, we fall asleep easily and we wake rested and we wake energized and bright-eyed and bushy-tailed. But when we sit and look at monitors and our computer screens, it’s emitting a blue light that mimics the sun. And so we get all confused and all these different hours.
So if you’re looking at that screen at 10 o’clock at night, your eyes think it’s looking at the sun at sunrise. You’re going to pump out more cortisol and not sleep well. Hence the glasses. And mentioning that, it took me for- I learned about that in 2015 as far as blocking blue light, et cetera. It’s only been recently that I created the discipline and the habit of starting around usually 8:00 PM.
I try to go to bed by 10. Latest. So, and you need to benefit from, you know, blocking the blue light. It’s ideal that like 90 minutes before you go to bed, you either put on your blue light blocking glasses or you just shut off your screens and all the LEDs and everything else and put on salt lamps or whatever you want to do. But that’s another thing that when I don’t do that, put on the, you know, block the blue light at night, it wrecks my sleep, which is part of the issue that I was dealing with from the accident, my nervous system regulation and some of the other things that had happened.
But that’s another thing, and that’s a very inexpensive fix to hold this, whether it’s the Raw Optics or Vita Rays or, you know, those Raw Optics are- he’s got really stylish glasses, but they’re also really, really good as far as the technology behind them. Matt started that company at like age 18 or 19 and had tremendous success right out of the gate. And that’s when we ran into him again. It’s the first time I’ve seen him since 2018 because he’s been kind of a nomad traveling the world. Really interesting story.
Well, I noticed the difference because I don’t have- I’m like you, you and I both have light eyes. I don’t have pigment and I’m very sensitive to light, like fluorescent light, sunlight. Light, doesn’t matter. And I can put these glasses on and I literally feel the muscles in my eyes relax. It’s like that scrunching of my face, the tightening of my facial muscles, it creates more tension.
And then all of a sudden I put them on and I’m like, oh, I can literally feel an exhale when I wear these Raw Optics. And it’s- I love to give people a tool like you just said. So the pathology behind it is when we get up in the morning and the sunlight hits our retina, it sends a message down to our adrenals to pump out cortisol. Gets us up, gets us going, gives us energy for our day. And then that cortisol should naturally start to decrease as then it starts to get dark.
And then the darkness signals the retina to send a message to our pineal gland to pump out melatonin to go to sleep. So the more we can wear the raw optics, like you just said, Stephen, if we’re not going to shut off all of our electromagnetic equipment, then we got to start wearing things that block that. Because you didn’t mention, if you don’t wear the blue light blocking glasses or you don’t shut off your LEDs and your screens, everything else, your melatonin will not start up. No, it thinks it’s daytime. Yes.
Yeah, that’s what wrecks you. So if you think about our ancestors, they didn’t have overhead, they had candlelight. And what’s the old color wheel from art class, right? Red and orange are the opposite of blue and green. And so the red-orange lenses block that blue-green color light.
And so our ancestors naturally had firelight and had lanterns that were that natural kind of orangey color. And naturally stimulating it. We’ve just gotten so far away and we think we have to have all these expensive things. Really, we can walk barefoot, drink water, spend some time in the morning sun, right? I always say drink water, you dry noodle, and go to bed.
Yeah. Sort, you know, source healthy food, which is not, it’s not as easy as it used to be, obviously. Yeah. That’s some of the, some of the other, you know, modalities that really like the Juvent Micro-Impact platform, which we talked about. I don’t know that you’ve seen that one.
I’ve stood on it because you have one at home. Yeah, right. It’s at the warehouse now. I’m taking it back. Okay.
I’ve stood on yours. We’re gonna get a replacement. Um, there’s an AeroSystem which you’ve seen. I’ve got to go somewhere to use that and it requires work and it’s not an easy thing to just do on a daily basis, but that thing moves the needle as much as any modality that I’ve seen as far as just overall health, VO2 max, cardio health, mitochondrial health, brain health. It just lights you up.
And what it’s doing is using using high concentrated oxygen and switching back and forth between that and low concentrated oxygen to flood the body of oxygen in a way that really hasn’t- is it like a state of hypoxia when you do that? Yeah, yeah, you do go into hypoxia and a lot of people think, oh my God, it’s so dangerous. But the studies on the predecessor to the AeroSystem, which is what we use, A-I-R-O System. That’s the one with the bike, right, that I saw. But you can use any bike.
It’s using a mask that goes from, you know, oxygen generators and then a big bag that’s filled some of the air is high concentration, some is low concentration. There’s a lady in New Mexico who’s done over 1,000 studies with high-risk people who she’s working with, and not even one person fainted. So it does a lot of stuff. There’s- it, you know, it’s that technology. There’s a similar version of that for hyperbaric, which there have been studies come out of Israel with a hyperoxic-hypoxic paradox, but it’s different because there’s no work involved in that.
It’s passive. And there are machines like the Cellgym that do something similar, but there’s no work involved with that as well. There’s a very unique thing with this AeroSystem But you’ve got- it does require work and it’s, you know, you’ve got to have space. It’s kind of loud, that kind of thing. So it’s not a daily thing that everybody’s like- if you have a home gym kind of thing, you can put that in your home.
Yeah. You’re worried about there being a little noise and that kind of thing. That- what do you have a device with you that you use that like is a cheat workout? Yeah. Well, this- the KAATSU.
So the KAATSU, that’s a Japanese word, means pressure on. Okay. K-A-A-T-S-U. And it’s out of Japan. The inventor, is a Dr.
Sato who’s like 85 and jacked. But it was, it was originally created for cardiac rehab in Japan, hot in hospitals in Japan. And they started using those things like 3 days after, after surgery and people were getting amazing benefits. Like after a heart attack is cardiac surgery idea. Okay.
All kinds of things. And so these are 2 sets of bands. One set goes around your arms, one set goes around your legs. You don’t use them at the same time, but if you’re using the arms, it’s going to work the whole upper body. If you’re using the leg bands, it’s going to work the whole lower body.
It’ll even work the inverse. If you’re doing upper body stuff and you don’t have your armbands on, you can still use the leg bands. But it’s, it’s, there are, there are certain blood flow restriction bands that are literally blood flow restriction where there’s no blood flow. These are called blood flow restriction bands and the original ones, but they’re the air bladder that they’re made of is flexible. So there’s always a venous return of blood.
At all times. So it’s not cutting off the blood totally. Okay. But it does things, and I’d refer people to the website or a podcast. It’s doing things to trick the body into releasing all kind of beneficial hormones that will help from rehabilitation to like a growth hormone idea.
Is it stimulating growth hormone? Okay. Recovery, hypertrophy, which is muscle mass increase, and strength increase. All of it. I mean, the, the evidence for this, from this stuff, is pretty amazing.
Unfortunately, the company’s not good at marketing. I’ve worn these bands into gyms for workouts at least 600 times minimum because I’ve had them for like 3 or 4 years, and only one person knew what they were, and that’s somebody that watched a Dr. Joseph Mercola podcast who promoted them. And Dr. Joe Mercola, who’s in his 60s, late 60s now, put on 20 pounds of lean muscle in one year using KAATSU, which is virtually impossible.
Most people would say that is impossible. So they do a ton. So when I’m there, and there’s a couple of different ways you can wear them, I don’t want to take up the whole podcast on this, but there’s a cycle mode and a constant mode. Constant mode is you would put them on, you set it a certain pressure, and then you do like 3 sets of something and then you turn it off and you go to the next thing. Cycling mode, you can still work out with, What it’s doing is it’s going to go to a certain pressure.
It’s going to hold for like whatever you program it to, 20 to 30 seconds. It’s going to release, pause, and then inflate a little bit more on the next set. And it’ll keep doing that through 8 rounds and then up to 6 sets. And you can be doing daily activities. I wore my arm ones on the drive up here today.
I wore my leg ones on my way back. And I’m going to get a benefit of- it’s like you did a workout. It’s like I did something because I’ve done it with people. I’ve had people use them for as little as a week or two and people, not them, Notice the difference and say, what are you doing? So this would be great for someone who is going through some sort of acute rehab care and can’t do a workout the way they’re used to doing a workout.
Also, we’re talking about cardio traumas that people have undergone, right? And they’re healing. And the guy that was the head of training for KAATSU, John Doolittle, lives in St. Petersburg. He was a Navy SEAL commander and he had torn a rotator cuff muscle.
And took 11 and a half months to recover. And they have a little more things at their disposal than a regular civilian, right? 11 and a half months. 6 years later, he’s 6 years older, tears rotator cuff on the other arm. MRI shows the exact same injury.
How? He used Katsu and recovered in 5 and a half months instead of 11 on the other one. Left his military position and started working for Katsu for about 3 years, going to see, you know, kind of some famous, like Dr. Joe Mercola, military bases, other pro athletes, Ben Greenfield. You all adapt and use katsu, but you still won’t see them around that much because they still are not very good at marketing.
And the price points on those things aren’t cheap because that little air bladder, the sophistication to make that thing has not been easy for them, and they- the manufacturer is, is not cheap. Okay. Yeah, I definitely- when I saw you walking around with those a few months ago, I was like, I want a pair of that. Well, talk to Michelle. They wore them just for a couple weeks and she’ll tell you she felt stronger.
She was saying she feels stronger. Yeah, which is so good. Oh my gosh. Well, anything else you you want to share about? Well, I think hydrogen is starting to come into play.
We have the molecular hydrogen machine. Yeah, actually one of our sponsors here for the, uh, the podcast is actually Michael Wiegel of Axiom H2, who we use his molecular hydrogen machine and his molecular hydrogen water bottle as well, um, which I’ve been loving. I feel so awake and like a clear awake, not a jittery, like a caffeinated awake, a genuinely true clear it’s almost like that feeling when you go stand next to a waterfall and you’re immersed by all those negative ions and you feel really clean and crisp. That’s how I feel with molecular hydrogen when I take it in. Yeah.
And it’s the, you know, it’s the number one antioxidant as well. So studies still need to be done on hydrogen. Even Tyler LeBaron that runs the Molecular Hydrogen Institute can’t say, yeah, do hydrogen, you’re going to have all these great results. But anecdotally, there’s been so much of that. Most people are going to, and you have especially even Gary Brecker that’s promoting hydrogen inhalation now.
And what’s great about the Axiom machine is you’ve got versatility to either breathe it through a cannula. You can, you can, you know, make hydrogen water. You can use the goggles or the stuff going in your ears. So a lot of different ways you can use that machine. Yeah.
So you can have eye health, ear health, like tinnitus can be treated through this. But hydrogen is the most abundant substance in the entire universe, not just Earth, but the entire universe. And it enters all the way into the mitochondria. Area of our cells. It enters every single one of our cells, and it has this innate ability to go to the site of highest inflammation.
So somehow, nobody knows yet, but the research is showing that where in the body there’s the most inflammation, the molecular hydrogen will automatically go to, almost like a magnet, and treat that area first to heal it. Yeah, and you can, you can use that Xymet too while you’re doing other things that you have in at Pranamaya as well. So it’s not- yeah, stuck in one deal. Of course, we haven’t done a whole lot with products.
Yeah, we’re working on that. We’re figuring out which is going to be the best one. And the reason is that we’re- it’s probably the number one thing you can do for detoxification outside of enosferesis or, um, something else a little more drastic. So it’s accessible to a lot of people, and we’re bombarded with so many things now that are toxing us out. If you’re not doing something to detox the body, you gotta sweat every day, you’re gonna be behind, and you’re gonna be behind the 8-ball.
So it’s That’s another thing I’d mention. Yeah. I talk about the air we breathe, the food we eat, the water we drink, and then the chemicals on our day-to-day clothing to our cleaning products, to our beauty products. And I have a saying, if you wouldn’t put it on your mouth, don’t put it on your skin. And so if we can help detox, whether it’s through sweating or through something like molecular hydrogen, it’s great to do every day.
So that adds an added level of detox, which we want to be bringing into the resort down there too. So what we do is this trifecta down there that you lay on the VIBE bed, and then you get the molecular hydrogen and you get the Therasage PMF mat at the same red light PMF mat. So it’s this trifecta treatment of calming, grounding, total- this immersion of sensory deprivation at the same time as sensory stimulation, right? Because you’re listening to a very specific sound frequency sound. Based on maybe an emotion that you’re wanting to process or a stress level that you’re wanting to release.
And then the vibration that goes along with that sound therapy. I just- people walk out of there, they’re just blown away. Resonance. I mean, that’s- we’re getting into all this, you know, the energy medicine that’s coming along. It seems woo-woo to everybody now, but there, there’s a lot of modalities now that are making a huge shift in people’s health from resonance and that kind of thing.
And that vibroacoustic bed, The Bioharmonic Technologies vibe is- I just think it’s so funny. I mean, this is such ancient science. Honestly, we have known about frequencies since society began, right? I mean, the Solfeggio frequency, the Fibonacci sequence, these are all based on physics and mathematical equations that have been proven that is resonating in our same body. Russian military have been using cats to help heal fractures because the frequency of a purr helps stimulate our osteocytes, our bone cells, to replicate faster to help heal a broken bone.
So it’s like we’ve known this forever, that just putting a cat next to your broken arm and it purring is gonna help you heal faster because of the frequency of the purr. And this goes on to music. Think about how we feel when we hear a certain type of music versus a different type of music. Like when you first wake up in the morning, do you want to hear heavy metal or do you want to hear like soft jazz? Right.
It’s like, oh, that’s really nice. Or in the middle of the day, maybe you want to hear some heavy metal to get through the middle afternoon slump. Right. But that’s all these frequencies that we’re talking about.
But one thing we didn’t talk about also is breathwork, which goes back thousands of years. But to help your nervous system and everything, I mean, there’s not much you can do other than maybe some modalities like a ZenBud, which is a, is a vagus nerve stimulating device. But breathwork, just to- and there’s a lot of different methods. Is the inhale 4 seconds, hold 7 seconds, exhale 8 seconds. I love the box breathing.
Pranayama. There’s a lot of different methods you can do, but breathwork is one of the most important things you do for vitality and shifting your body from a state of sympathetic to parasympathetic, you know. And even, even the Wim Hof, which is really sympathetic but allows you to benefit in a lot of different ways, it still makes that mind-body breath connection. Yeah, breathwork is a, is a huge- and it’s free. Yeah, 100%.
You can’t, you can’t complain. I love finding the things that are free that our ancestors have been using for thousands of years. Sunlight, barefoot walking, movement, movement, breathwork, whether it’s yoga or- I read some statistic the other day that we used to just 40 years ago walk something like 25 steps a day and now we maybe walk 2,500. It’s, it’s absurd how sedentary we are now. And I’m trying to make an effort of just generally walking.
And I do love living in an urban environment like we live in because I can walk places. I understand if you live in a rural environment, you have to get in your car to be able to get to a grocery store, to pick your kids up from school. But when we live in urban places where we have bike paths, walking paths, I think walk as much as you can. Just allocate an extra 10 minutes of your time. Get the sunlight naturally, get the fresh air naturally.
And I never feel more relaxed than when I walk to work and I walk home from work versus the urgency of getting in my car, navigating traffic, stoplights. Did I miss my turn? How do I find parking? Whereas I just walk there and I bring my dog and gets his little workout too. Well, Lauren Pronger, who hopefully will be visiting part of my- she avoids scheduling Zooms.
Because she would rather have a phone call and walk outside. It’s a great tip, which I’m going to incorporate here and there. A couple people I don’t need to be visual with, why don’t we just do a call and I’ll just be- go outside, take a walk. That’s a great idea. Yeah, I do my couple calls I’ve had with Aaron Alexander, who I met through you.
He’s on FaceTime and walking the whole time that we’re, that we’re on our calls as well, which I love. I’m like, great, let’s get it in. Or when I have patients come and say, I’m sorry, I’m so sweaty, I just came from X, Y, or Z, I’m I’m so envious. I love that you came sweaty. It means you moved.
That’s great, right? Right. Yeah. Well, I am so grateful that you have been a part of our team and showing us all these devices and helping us bring an elevated level of health and wellness to people. And how do people find you?
Because you are the super connector and a counselor for people who want to bring these things into their homes. And I want to also, you know, be clear that you have helped people recover from spending money on devices that were ineffective. And now they’ve come to you. And even though these devices cost, you’re actually saving the money because you’re cutting to this is what’s worth your money. So how would people find you if they want to get some of these devices?
So, uh, my website is modalitymatchmaker.com, all the way it sounds. And my Instagram is Super Connector, which is like that symbol, and then S-U-P-E-R, then K-O-N-N-E-C-T-O-R. So Super Connector with a K because my initials are SK. I like Instagram. So those two ways, probably the best.
You can, you can DM me on Instagram or go to the website. There’s a spot where you can- we’ll make sure we put those in our credentials at the end of this too. Well, thank you so much, Stephen. You and I have been friends for almost 7 years, and I love that our relationship is evolving now into this, uh, really cool longevity biohacking side. I’ll see you at Dave Asprey’s.
And I’m looking forward to visiting Pranamaya before- yes, yes, definitely before then. We’ll get you on down. Yeah, everyone come and check out all the tools that Stephen’s put in with us at Pranamaya Resort. It’s an amazing, it’s amazing place. Thank you.
Thanks for your time. Thanks for having me.
Oh!
